Anna + Stefan
Anna is from Moscow, Russia and Stefan is from Tuscan, Arizona. They met through mutual friends in Hawaii and didn't get along at first. It took a second meeting months later to finally feel that spark. But their relationship was complicated, at the time, Stefan was stationed in Hawaii and Anna was living in Toronto. But they were determined to make their relationship work. Stefan proposed to Anna after a long hike in Hawaii and they started planning their wedding.
They originally planned on eloping in Hawaii, but ended up falling in love with Sedona instead. They got ready in a gorgeous Airbnb in town and then we drove out into the desert together. We helped them find the perfect, secluded spot for their morning ceremony. Stefan's good friend officiated their ceremony and they wrote their own vows. After the ceremony, we took refuge from the summer heat in the nearby arts and shopping village called Tlaquepaque. We ate tacos for lunch and then rested before our evening hike.
The evening clouds rolled in and we met up at the trailhead together. Anna and Stefan wore their hiking clothes so that it was easier to climb up the red rocks. Once we reached the top of the rock, they changed back into their wedding clothes behind a blanket. Stefan and Anna then spent some time enjoying the view in private, while we photographed them from a distance. As the sun started to go down, we hiked back down to the trailhead.
