Mountaintop Hiking Adventure Engagement Session

Colorado Hiking Engagement Session

Clara + Ty

It might surprise you, but it’s pretty rare for our couples to live in Colorado! A majority of our couples travel to Colorado from out of state, which means that we don’t often get to meet our couples in person before their elopement day. So you can imagine it’s always exciting for us to be able to do engagement sessions with our couples! Engagement sessions have a lot of value. In addition to the standard stuff, like providing our couples with photos for save-the-date announcements (or just cute photos together), it’s also a great opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera, and for the four of us to get to know each other better! We keep engagement sessions laid back and fun, with lots of room for conversation and elopement brainstorming.

Earlier this year, Clara and Ty started the process of building their first home here in Colorado. And in the meantime, they decided to hop around to a couple of places that they always wanted to live. First, they spent some time in Door County, Wisconsin, living in Clara’s grandparents’ cabin. There, Ty proposed on the shores of Lake Michigan. But recently, they moved back to Colorado with their adorable pup, Robson. They’re spending the summer living in the mountains and have been taking every opportunity possible to explore hiking trails and backroads.

So for their engagement session, we decided to hang out in their “backyard” and share one of our favorite hidden hiking trails with them. We had so much fun hiking and getting to know them both! They have such a playful relationship and it was so much fun capturing that. Clara and Ty are eloping in Telluride next fall, and we are so excited to spend two days exploring and celebrating with them!
