Catie + Jessica
In April, we traveled all the way to Boranup Forest in Western Australia for Catie and Jessica's elopement. Over the past six months, we've spent a lot of time chatting with them on Skype and exchanging emails. Through all of that, we've grown so close to this amazing couple, and are honored to now call them our friends!
Along with their elopement, they also wanted to host a reception for all of their friends and family in Angel Fire, New Mexico. Jessica's family owns a home in Angel Fire and it is in this location that they first summited a mountain together. We were thrilled to drive down to document the last piece of their wedding story!
Catie and Jessica found the most adorable Taos Airbnb to get ready in. They helped each other with their hair and makeup in the upstairs loft and then put their dresses on in the open living room below. We then drove through the Sangre de Cristo mountains to Angel Fire. The backyard of Jessica's parent's house was set up with large white tents and long wooden tables decorated with flowers and candles.
For their "ceremony", we premiered their Highlight Film from Australia. It was so much fun to see their reactions to the film! There were tears as well as laughs. Afterwards they ate a family-style dinner under the tents and twinkle lights before having their first dances on the patio. The rest of the night was filled with catching up with old friends and dancing!
