Sara + Taylor
Sara and Taylor met at Oregon State University on the first day of Film Class. Sara caught Taylor's attention when he held the door open for her at the beginning of class, but it took him two weeks to work up the courage to talk to her. Sara noticed Taylor too, and found herself looking for his brightly colored backpack every time she walked into class.
They chose to get married at The Oregon Garden in Silverton, which is about an hour south of Portland. It is a special place for them because Sara's grandfather helped lay out the plans for the garden. They got ready at the Oregon Garden Resort and then walked down to the Market Garden for their ceremony. Their reception was held in the Bosque.
The days leading up to the wedding day were unusually rainy. As the ceremony approached, everyone's eyes were on the sky. Up until the final moments before Sara and her father walked down the aisle, there was the concern of rain. But the clouds opened up and we enjoyed some sunshine. Sara and Taylor wrote letters for each other and closed them in a wooden time capsule box that Taylor crafted.
The rain held out until the everyone was tucked underneath the white reception tent. During toasts, we witnessed the most incredible golden hour rain shower. Sara and Taylor's first dance was playful and fun, and the rest of the night was full of big smiles and great dance moves.
We loved traveling to Oregon to document Sara and Taylor's wedding!
