Travel Blog
This year, we've decided to be more deliberate with our personal travels. We want to seek out new and unexpected places for our couples to elope in. If Vietnam isn't already on your list, it should be.
We spent a week exploring Vietnam, and wow, it was such an incredible place! The people were friendly, the food was delicious, and the landscape was otherworldly. Because we didn't have much time, we decided to save some of the major sites, such as Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City, and Sapa for our next trip. Because we know we will be returning to Vietnam in the future, we decided to focus on the countryside in northern Vietnam.
We rode on trains, explored rivers by boat, hiked, and rode 22 miles on bikes (yes, on bikes). We saw stunning pagodas built into the cliffsides and into caves. We saw water buffalo, chickens, sooo many goats, and some bright turquoise birds. Our first few days were super foggy, but eventually, the skies cleared up a little bit and we got to see the layers upon layers of tall mountains!
