Savannah, Georgia

Travel Blog

We can't believe it's already been a year since we eloped in Isle of Skye, Scotland! For our first anniversary, Alex planned a surprise weekend trip for us. I didn't find out where we were going until we got to our gate at the airport! I was thrilled to find out that we were going to Savannah, Georgia because it had always been on my list of places to see.

We stayed at a beautiful inn right off of Forsyth Park, and I am pleased to inform you that it was not haunted. I love all things spooky (we did a walking ghost tour one night), but I'd much rather sleep in peace.

We spent three days walking around the city, admiring the Victorian era mansions, listening to musicians in the squares, browsing antique shops, learning about the city's history, exploring old cemeteries, looking up at the live oak trees with their drooping Spanish moss, and eating lots of delicious food.
