October Elopement at Sapphire Point Overlook

Sunrise Waterfall Elopement in Breckenridge

Allison + Will

Allison and Will met in high school. Their relationship continued in college where they both fell in love with exploring in the outdoors together. They camped in the Eastern Sierras and roadtripped to Zion National Park. But their biggest adventure was when they packed up everything they owned and drove across the country to give the East Coast a try. Their bond grew stronger as well as their love for exploring together. They adopted two dogs and were eventually pulled back to California.

After getting engaged at Mammoth Mountain, they both agreed that they would elope in Colorado. They had been to Colorado before and it held a special place in their hearts. They decided to elope in Breckenridge, with their closest family members, who were all thrilled that they were finally getting married after over ten years together.

Allison and Will’s elopement day started at sunrise. It was a bitterly cold morning, but they braved the cold temperatures without any complaints. We hiked to a waterfall for their private vow exchange and then explored along the shores of an alpine lake before heading to their ceremony.

By the time we met up with their families, the temperatures had warmed up and it was the most beautiful October day. Their ceremony was officiated by Allison’s brother-in-law and it was beautiful. We loved catching glimpses of their families crying as well as beaming with joy. After the ceremony, everyone gathered around for a toast before we snuck off for a few more photos of Allison and Will. Looking out at the beautiful mountains surrounding Breckenridge was the perfect way to end their elopement day. Well that and the milkshake Allison vowed to get afterward!

This elopement took place on Ute and Cheyenne Land.

We cannot say enough good things about Lisa and Alex! They made the whole process so easy with the planning portal, and showed true professionalism and flexibility. On our big day they also were so friendly and comforting. Most importantly they captured our day better than we could have imagined. I highly recommend Vow of the Wild to anybody looking for a photographer.
