Bottom line up front: Vow of the Wild is AMAZING!

When we began our search for the perfect elopement photographer, we were immediately drawn to Alex and Lisa’s work. With the two of them working together, they have the unique ability to capture the close details of a quiet moment, and also show how that fits into the grand natural beauty.

It’s a odd thing to try to choose the strangers that you want to be the only other people with you on the most important day of your life. But once we had our first interview with them, we knew we’d found our match. They have the prefect vibe: professional, relaxed, funny, and up for adventure.

We spent our wedding with our two new friends, who took kick-ass pictures of our perfect day. We can’t thank VOTW enough. See you again soon!
— Brooke + Christian

Brooke and Christian first fell in love in college. But when Brooke moved to a different state with her family, they ended up separating, both moving on with their separate lives. To Christian, Brooke was always the one who got away. Years later, a Facebook comment sparked a conversation that never ended.

Since they both lived across the country from each other, they planned a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park to reconnect. And now, two decades after they first fell in love, they returned to Estes Park to get married.

They packed so much adventure into their elopement day! They started their elopement day with a sunrise hike to an alpine lake. And even though the hike is a popular trail, we were the first ones to arrive, and had time to soak in the entire sunrise together. But after their alpine lake hike, they still had some energy and we hopped on the RMNP shuttle and headed to another trailhead. There, we hiked uphill to a powerful waterfall. Finally, it was time for their self-solemnized ceremony and first dance at Sprague Lake. By then, we were all getting hungry, so we headed to our favorite picnic area where they ate homemade pizza and cupcakes.

After an afternoon break, we met back up so they couple play their favorite competitive board game in the forest. Then we headed way up in elevation to enjoy sunset on a mountaintop. It was the perfect elopement day that really incorporated the best that Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer.
