Rocky Mountain National Park Elopement at Hidden Valley
Hidden Valley Elopement in RMNP
Fred + Jina
Fred + Jina grew up 12 miles from each other, but their paths didn’t cross until they both moved to Las Vegas as adults. Their relationship grew quickly; a month after meeting, they traveled to Denver together. There, they both expressed their love for each other and agreed they were in it for the long haul. With Colorado marking a special moment at the beginning of their relationship, it only made sense to return to Colorado for their elopement. They fell in love with Rocky Mountain National Park and planned a day full of adventure and family.
They started their elopement day with a first look on the top of a mountain with stunning views in all directions. As Fred waited for Jina and her daughter to walk up the trail, a curious marmot popped out from the rocks and decided to stick around. Fred and Jina both felt a sense of relief as they embraced each other, there’s always so much excitement and nerves leading up to the first look! The relief then turned into laughter when the marmot climbed up on the rock to watch them.
As the rain started, we hurried back to the trailhead and drove to their ceremony site, which was fortunately at a lower elevation. Equipped with umbrellas, we hiked up into a gorgeous, green valley for their private vow exchange. As we hiked, Jina chose a beautiful spot tucked in the trees for us to stop. There, they exchanged their vows, with just Jina’s daughter as their witness.
Afterward, they hiked back to the trailhead to meet up with their guests for a more formal ceremony which was officiated by Jina’s daughter. After the ceremony, everyone celebrated with hugs and champagne before returning to Estes Park for a meal catered by a private chef.
This elopement took place on Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho Land.
