Elopement on a Private Property in Colorado

The summer of 2022 was characterized by rain and a lot of it. Alex and Bailey’s mountain elopement started out in a similar way. The skies were gray and rain fell on and off. Alex and Bailey got ready separately with their families and watched the rain fall, with no end in sight.

But, as if on schedule, the rain slowed to a stop just in time for their first look in the forest. Alex gifted Bailey a necklace which she immediately put on, then Bailey gifted Alex a pair of custom cufflinks with maps from locations that were special for their relationship.

Next, we climbed up onto the top of a rock ledge to get a view of the surrounding mountains. Alex and Bailey exchanged their vows privately before meeting their families for a second ceremony. This ceremony was officiated by Alex’s sister and it was so much fun! She did a great job at customizing the ceremony for them and they even said their formal vows with their hands on a Dungeons and Dragons book.

After the ceremony, all of the guests returned to the house while Alex and Bailey had a private first dance on the ceremony deck. For dinner, everyone gathered around one, long table and had a meal prepared by a private chef. They ended the evening with speeches on the outside patio and a glimpse of the stars peeking through the cloudy skies.
