Adventure Engagement Session at Guanella Pass
M + K
Adventure Session
Just because your elopement is over, it doesn’t mean you can’t have more photos taken. M and K had their small wedding earlier this year at Yosemite National Park in California. Over the past year and a half, we’ve become friends with M and K, and in the process, we have talked their ears off about how they HAVE to make a trip to Colorado. And in our opinion, one of the very best times to visit Colorado is in mid-to-late September. M and K live in Los Angeles, so we knew that a little fall colors escape would be perfect for them! And boy did Colorado deliver!
We met them at the top of a mountain shortly after sunrise. The temperatures often fall below freezing, and the winds can make it feel even colder. Luckily, this morning wasn’t quite that cold, but M and K still cuddled up together for warmth and ran around trying to stay warm. Next, we headed down in elevation to an aspen grove that was tucked up against a small stream. The leaves seemed to twinkle as the sun slowly made its way down into the valley. Every year, we are surprised by how beautiful the fall colors are. We only wish they would stay longer! We ended our morning at an overlook high above the tiny mountain town, talking and planning our next adventure together.
We can’t wait to be reunited with M and K very soon! Maybe we’ll just have to meet up in another gorgeous location for more photos.
