Backyard Elopement in Breckenridge
Colorado Mountain Elopement
Jasmine + Nicole
Jasmine and Nicole met on Instagram and immediately hit it off. At the time, Nicole was living in Tennessee and Jasmine was living in Texas, so they would often drive out and meet each other "halfway”. Each time, they would choose a different state to meet in. So from the beginning, these two were all about exploring together!
They decided to have a small wedding in the mountains of Colorado with 15 of their closest family and friends present. They quickly fell in love with Breckenridge and rented a beautiful cabin to host their ceremony and reception. It was important for both of them to also spend part of their wedding day exploring the surrounding mountains for their first look.
We spent time for that first look at the top of a mountain at sunrise. We drove up the bumpy dirt road together and then they each changed into their wedding clothes. The temperatures hovered below freezing and the winds gusted through the mountain valley. But even so, their reaction to seeing each other was magic.
In order to get out of the wind a little bit, we tucked ourselves into some tall pine trees and Jasmine and Nicole exchanged gifts, then we found a pocket of golden aspen trees with some warm sunshine.
Their ceremony was held behind their rental cabin and was surrounded by forest. It was short and sweet. They each read their personal vows to each other and then brought all of their guests in for big hugs. They also brought in a professional chef from Texas to make the most incredible Southern food, and no offense to any other caterers, but it was our favorite wedding meal ever! After lunch, they had their first dances on the back deck of the house before taking the short drive to Sapphire Point for a few more photos.
This elopement took place on Ute Land.
Location Disclaimer: The location with the alpine lake no longer allows weddings or elopements. We no longer come to this location with our couples.
